Start your registration
If you have decided to pursue a study programme at Avans University of Applied Sciences, you will need to register for it.
Application procedures
There are various application procedures. Which one you will need to follow depends on which student group you belong to. We distinguish the following groups:
If you want to join us as an exchange student, you must be nominated by a representative of your university. After being nominated you will receive an email containing a link to an application form. Please complete this form and upload the required documents to complete your application.
Check this factsheet which provides you the most essential information on where to find our course catalogue or grading system. It also guides you to details on housing, visa, insurance and more.
Documents required for your application
Please upload the following required documents in the application form:
- copy of your valid passport or of the front and back of your national ID card.
- copy of your transcript of records of the last 2 years. All documents need to be in English and in 1 pdf.
- a recent statement (no older than 2 years) of working knowledge of the English language with an overall band score of at least 6.0. More information you can find here.

As a master's degree student, you must enrol via the Studielink website. Studielink is an online enrolment wizard that allows you to apply for enrolment or re-enrolment on a course at a government-funded institution of higher education in the Netherlands.
To ensure that your application via Studielink runs smoothly, we strongly advise that you use the Studielink Instruction Manual. That way, you can be sure you are following the proper enrolment process. Also check the Studielink website for more information.

Once you have finished the online application wizard confirmation will be sent to you at the e-mail address you entered in Studielink. You can also look up the status of your application in Studielink. After your application has been registered, you will be contacted by the International Office of Avans University of Applied Sciences to complete the process.

Documents required for your application
Please upload the following required documents:
- copy of your valid passport or of the front and back of your national ID card.
- a statement of enrolment from your educational institution abroad.
- upload the official transcript of all your records of the past 2 years at your current home institution. (If this is your first year at your school, you can also provide your transcripts from the first year only.) All documents in English and in 1 pdf.
- a statement of working knowledge of the English language, IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge, which is no older than 2 years.
- a filled and signed course fee agreement. Freemovers (individual EEA and non-EEA exchange students) pay tuition fees to Avans University of Applied Sciences. More information about the tuition fees.

Rules and Regulations
Before you apply for a study programme at Avans University of Applied Sciences, make sure you have informed yourself about the Rules and Regulations.

Please apply as early before the deadline as possible. That way, you give Avans enough time to process your application and, if applicable, apply for a visa. Furthermore, we urge you to start looking for accommodation in the Netherlands as soon as possible too.
*If the partner university is unable to nominate their students for the second semester (Spring) already by April 1st, it is still possible to nominate the students for the second semester until the deadline of October 1st. Students will then have the time to apply until the deadline of October 15th. Please take note that many programs might be full already by this time.
